I saw something odd on the bus today.
Picture this: a man, probably in his early 30’s, is sitting in one of the aisle-facing seats. He’s got a shiny bald head and black-rimmed hipster glasses on his face. His shirt is light tan with little colorful palm trees on it, and he’s wearing black shorts and tennis shoes. There’s a large yellow skateboard cradled between his legs. He’s thumbing carefully through a book, and by the severely intense look on his face you might think he’s trudging through the latest by Umberto Eco or Noam Chomsky. But the book is bright red, and there’s a colorful picture of Astro Boy on the cover.
Only in Seattle, I tells ya!
